Baby It's Cold Outside... stuck in the snow in Fairview

Lloyd and I do a LOT of traveling.  Our car is quite the trooper.  We have put around 50,000 miles on it since we got it in 2007.  We were on our way back home from Logan and stopped in at my Dad and Moms and our car was steaming.  I guess it doesn't like the cold weather.  My dad said it was a loose clamp.

We waited until the morning to go the rest of the way home.  When we looked outside the world was covered in white.  It had snowed a foot or so over night.  We had a hard time just getting out of my parents driveway.  Lloyd had to shovel a path.

We were stuck for about an hour jut in the drive way.  I thought we were never going to make it home.

On our way I made Lloyd stop a few times on the highway to take some pictures.  As he would say the joys of being married to a photographer. :)

Ugly Sweater Party

Lloyd and I were invited to go to an ugly sweater party.  I was soooooo excited.  I still love dressing up. I don't think that I will ever grow out of it.  We went to DI to look for a holiday sweater but we had no luck.  I found this blazer that looks like curtains or a couch.  Lloyd couldn't find anything.  I had some bridals in Vegas that day so we stopped at the Vegas DI and found this gem (the sweater that Lloyd is waring)  I found it int he women's section shhhhhh, but it was big enough for Lloyd. He is wore it proudly.  I told him he couldn't loose waring it.

We were also supposed to take a treat and a white elephant gift.  We took a bird clock that lloyd bought on a infomercial 15 years ago that had never been open.  It was a classic.  It made 12 different bird sounds.  We were sad to see it go ha ha ha.

Lloyd at the party.  He won The most festive sweater award.  This beautiful tree was his prize.  We went with Matt and Aubry Jenkins.  We stayed out late and played games.  On our way home we got a flat tire and had to call AAA because our tires are custom they are a pain to change...  It was a night to remember.  :)

Thanksgiving/ My GOLDEN Birthday!

Thanksgiving was on my birthday this year!  It was my golden birthday.  I turned 26 on the 26th of November.  We spent thanksgiving with my family this year.  Lloyd in his uncle rico jersey.  haha He played in the Turkey Bowl Thanksgiving morning in Richfield.  It is tradition to ware your old high school jersey.

We went to Aunt Patsy's house for dinner.  She Teri and Cyndi decorated the house so that I would feel special on my birthday.  I did feel special.  What a wonderful birthday!

Waiting to eat dinner.  YUM!

Halloween

This year our costumes were just thrown together.  I arrived home from Korea a few days before Halloween and didn't have time to coordinate our costumes like I had last year.  Lloyd was a motor cross rider and I was a graduate real original I know :).  Sadie was a bee again and jack was a little student.
We went trick or treating with MaryAnn and Raduan's kids.  Kids make everything more exciting.

Melissa send this picture to my through her phone.  Addie was born in October.  She is so cute!  This was taken in november.

Korea

Kristen flew me out to Korea to help them with Kevin.  They had to travel to the hospital that was two hours away just to get ultra sounds and check ups for little Bri in her tummy.  The Delivery is a whole other story.  I was pretty much was their nanny and loved every minute of it!!
This picture was a day after I arrived to Korea.  We went to the street markets.  We saw some pretty crazy things like:

Street sweeper...

Chicken feet... Yes they do eat them on a regular bases.  They were everywhere.  They suck out the bone marrow... They do the same in china.  I did try them in china but not in Korea.  Once is enough :)

Yum octopus... please prepare yourself for the next one... the street markets seriously had everything for sale.  Butchers right there in the street with the animal carcass just hanging there in the open air.

Dog... You always hear the stories that they eat dog, but did you believe it?  Well now you can, here is the proof.  I wanted to cry when I saw this.  It made me think of little sadie (our dog).  The lady got mad at me when she saw that I had a camera.  I had to get a picture.  I was sick the rest of the day.  Poor thing.

Some of the booths laid their goods on the ground and others had tables.  There was a lot of sea food and vegetables, but you could find anything from clothes to shoes to hardware...

This is where I stayed while I was there.

I was taught how to fly the Apache Helicopter.  This was the simulator.  It was quite a challenge to land, and to hover.  There are so many buttons, the collective and the cyclic are the only names of parts that I remember.  I got dizzy towards the end.  I really appreciate people that fly these things!

This is the church that we attended.  Everyone was so friendly and welcoming.  I wish that everyone was that kind.  To me it seemed that people didn't waist time to make friends.  I LOVED Kristen's ward!

There were some pretty crazy stores there.  They would try to use english but often things would be spelled wrong or constructed funny... Lloyd the gift... ha ha.  This store was naturally my favorite.

This was supposed to say NIKE ha ha and the mannequin was pretty funny as well.

The food... There was good and bad.  I liked bib-n-bop ha ha I can not remember how to spell anything. This was a meat and leaf place, where you grab a lief then place it on a leaf with your chopsticks and then fold it all together and shove it in your mouth.  It takes a lot of coordination to eat here :)

sea weed anyone... Kevin loved this stuff.  It tasted like vinegar and sea weed to me.  not so good.  they served it everywhere.

This is there tradition dress...

On the subway... To get to the hospital we had to ride the subway with a few transfers, then we had to switch to a train... Traveling was so confusing to me.  Driving wasn't an option for a small car.  Traffic was horrible.  a trip that should take two hours ended up taking four or five.  so we stuck to public transportation.  We also rode in busses and taxi's.

We got to go to the Temple in Seoul while  was there. It was wonderful.  the chairs were a lot closer together though.  I guess people here are smaller :) Yep I felt Huge!

Brianne waring the outfit that I got her.  Such a beautiful girl!  Kristen brought her home in this outfit.  I was so tickled.

Before it was time to go home I spent the day shopping with Kristen, Tara and Maria.  They were some good friends from the ward.  They were also very helpful while kristen was in the hospital for a week and a half.  I stayed in Kristen's apartment with Kevin and Tara Maria and others would bring me food and other things I needed.  It was seriously what I think heaven is like... everyone helping everyone.

Me and Maria.

At the Air Show in Osan.  I went with Maria and Gina and all their kids.  We all had a lot of fun.  It was really loud.  good thing my favorite brother in law gave me some ear plugs before hand.

The night before I left.  Bri didn't quite make it into the picture but she was there.  We all went shopping in Osan and had dinner at Chili's.  Yes there is a Chili's in Korea.

We look pretty scary, but I couldn't resist.  This was taken right before I left.  It brings tears to my eyes just looking at it.  I made some really good memories and learned some wonderful lessons about parenting.  I may be ready to start my own little family.

The toilet in the air port in Korea.

They were much further down on the ground than our toilets.  Once again I felt like a giant.  The asians are such crafty people.  You just push the button and new plastic wrap slides around the toilet seat.  You never have to worry about a dirty seat.  :)  I think we should start using these.  It would make cleaning the toilet much easier.

1st time to LAKE POWELL

Lloyd and I had never been to Lake Powell until this year.  We went to in August, 2009 with Lloyds good friends Mike and Dave and their wives Sammie and Heather.  They also brought the kidos Haley and Mackayla and Drew.  (I'm probably spelling their names wrong) We drove down in an RV and towed the boat behind. We really enjoyed ourselves!

...Lloyd enjoying the sun...

...Me doing the same...

...The result of enjoying the sun... (ouch) We all used so much sunscreen we still got burned!

Mackayla, Drew, Heather, and Lloyd...

Me learning to wake board.  I have been wake boarding before on a boat with no tower.  I got up my second or third try, but I didn't stay up very long.  This time the boat had a tower and it was much easier to stay up.  I learned some tricks and executed them nicely.  ha ha bunny hops and the butter slide.  I am sure those aren't the right terms, but I obviously don't remember them at the moment :)

Lloyd showing off his mad skills.  Lloyd was fun to watch, he was pretty good.  Mike taught us all how to do tricks.  Mike was a PRO he did flips and all kinds of crazy things.  Once everyone learned they were all competing to see who could clear the wake.  that was a little to ambitious for me, but Heather, Dave and Lloyd were all trying it.  It was cake for Mike.

This EVIL goose attacked the children... As we would dock each day there were ducks and geese that came right up to the boat.  At first we thought that it was cute.  We fed the them and everything.  The kids started to throw sunflower seeds to them, seconds later what seemed like slow motion this nasty goose reached up and bit a chunk off Drew's forehead.  Poor kid is going to have nightmares he was only one.  It left a large welt.  The next day we didn't feed them, but Haley was standing to close to the side of the boat and the same nasty goose snatched a piece of her cheek.  I am against animal cruelty, but this goose needed a beating!
